Speaking of Terraria, it appears to be 25% off now. My guess would be 50% off or so at some point this week.

Recettear is also currently 75% off. If you don't have it yet, you can pick it up for $5.

Vector+TF2=lots of dead MaximumZer0 clones, I'm sure. ^_^

But... but I have never played before?

Nah, the first even remotely shooty thing I've ever played was MGS, at the beginning of the summer.  Well, that and Bioshock, but I pretty much exclusively used the wrench, so I'm not counting it.

It's not that much of an issue there.
There are classes which don't rely on twitch reflexes that much.
Engineer relies on clever bulding placing and some team help and the medic should be around teammates anyway. The other classes each have their own mechanics, which you'll have fun figuring out.
Not to mention that the melee weapons in that game do great damage and aren't the last resort like in many other FPS games.

Had a plan for how to spend today, ended up derailing and spending the day lounging about and reading and writing and doodling.

Rofflol?

Okay, if you have some desire to sniper deathmatch me or summat else, please friend me and... stuff (>_>).  I should warn everyone that I'm not on very often at all, though.  So... yup.
Heheh. Actually I only parodied a certain meme.

And frankly, headshot sniper is my worst class by far :V

Wasted an hour at the mall, reminded myself why I want to move to some other town...

More of a sad thing but this leads to the fact that I now have everything I need to start buying books for my Kobo eReader.

Getting the first 19 books of Fruits Basket for free, from Thyme's little sister.

Do you know how much that's worth?

Pretty much $190, because they bought it all new.  Now there's only 4 books missing, which I should be able to pick up pretty easily.

Pity it's in English, because I try to mostly read this stuff in Japanese nowadays, but... but I'm so happy...

Me and my first shoujo manga, unless you count Saikano :3

My wife enjoyed Fruits Basket quite a bit

Crazy quotes from my 6 year old made me happy recently

Quote
Hiro: GRIM!! Stop it! No! You can't take away my pillow and sit on my head!!

Quote
Me: I'm going to set your computer up so that Highway to the Danger Zone plays every time you get on it
Hiro: Nu-uh!! I'll take it off!
Me: I'll set it up to put itself back on every time you take it off
Hiro: NO!! I know how to get rid of all the annoying stuff, because I read a book about computers!!

Fruit Basket is all over AnimeNewsNetwork right now, although I don't see the draw to shoujo romance stuff.  I'd rather have a real heavy dramatic seinen psychological/mystery series.  I lose interest otherwise, heh.

EDIT:
"Critics have praised the overall story in Fruits Basket as being intellectual, with even the relatively light-hearted first volume giving hints at something darker in the background that makes the reader "question everything that happens.""

Wait what is this?!  That sounds interesting.

I'm not sure what exactly happened, but about a month before school ended, Fruits Basket became ridiculously popular amongst the animoo and manga crowd.

Nah, I'm not sure you'll like it.  Especially the anime, which is made of ass.

But let it be known that I hate stories that are just about romance, so I liked it as a psychological exploration more than anything--which is really what shoujo usually is, at its best.  It's not super-dramatic and it doesn't have a big world-spanning plot.  It's just a little story about trying to grow up and create a world outside yourself.

How weird.  I've been reading it since I was in middle school, so... I guess it's finally popular  ::)
