Caught and relocated a mouse this morning, from our kitchen to some lovely open pasture land with lots of high grass. Cute little bugger, too. But he'll be happier in the wild, and we'll be happier not finding mouse poop on the counter.

And if he winds up a snake-snack by noon, then at least he's being recycled into the food chain.

Found an oil lobby ad when watching youtube. Naturally, I clicked it so it will follow me around; now whenever I surf the web I am simultaneously leaching money from both Bachman's campaign and the oil lobby. :D

LCS liberal activism, ho!
How are you not making them money if you clicked the ad?

They're paying money to youtube to put that ad there, people actually have to buy stuff from them to make that money back. If he doesn't buy anything but gives youtube an excuse to charge more due to high traffic, he's definitely costing them money.

I guess you could slashdot their webhost, just make sure to direct all sorts of irrelevant traffic to their site. Or just cross-link images from their site onto other sites. Both those will drain their traffic and slow down regular users of their sites.

EDIT: I just made an image from conservapedia as my avatar so when u read my posts you are slashdotting the righties

Heavy Weapons guy sells Kaboom.

It's not as funny as the Scout vid, but it still made me laugh once.

Yep. Typically, adverts pay a small amount of money per view, with a larger amount per click. Or in some cases, an amount of money per view which increases on any given website based on the number of advert clicks. The latter of the two is sort of a 'valuable real estate' model. In addition to the flat out cost from clicking, google tends to have ads follow you around; thus bachman and oil adverts will now make up the majority of ads I see on the web, costing extra. And of course, most of that extra money goes to the website you are on, so clicking on them is a sort of mini-donation.

Early this morning I had a nice talk with Janet (my first!) and then wandered around my friend's house at 4 am before falling asleep on his couch. Aww yeah.

And Janet, I meant to watch your X3 video, but it won't load for me.  :-\
