I like most of Metallica. The band definitely went through a transition from metal to rock, but they were good at both types of music.

That is, until St Anger. I no longer care about any of their new stuff. I have not even bothered to listen to Death Magnetic. St Anger ruined it all. It is an abomination.

That would be Garage Inc, after S&M (which was a pretty cool idea, but they didn't pull it off well. Malmsteen does awesome metal+symphony it much better.) They decided to try to go back to their "thrash" roots, and trying to re-create what made them popular/good in the first place, and are failing miserably because they're too short sighted to take criticism or step back and take a look at themselves to see what's going wrong.

Oh, right. You're living somewhere near Krakow, aren't you?

Currently IN Kraków. I will probably stay there for the summer, or at least a part of it. Give me a shout should you ever happen to need a drinking partner.
Or a guide or whatever. As long as some beer is involved along the way.

I felt awesome today, after surviving an especially dangerous motorcycle commute.

Hazard #1 - This is a common one.  Guy to obviously doesn't see me, and wants to get over into my lane.  He puts his blinker on just as he begins to move over.  I react quick enough that I can just slow down and let him pass as he lane changes.  Nothing drastic.

Hazard #2 - Shortly after that, a plastic grocery sack blows out into the road in front of me.  It rolls across the ground, stops right on the line between the two lanes, and then blows up into the air and hovers just at my eye level.  I immediately think "That thing's aiming for me isn't it?..."  WHOOSH!  Sure enough, it gets sucked towards me.  I duck my head to the side and it brushes past my helmet.  Narrowly averted fatal disaster.

Now I know what paperboy feels like.

I was 14. That was a time when first kisses were still magical and holding hands quickened my heartbeat double-time.

... What does it say about me that I'm 7 years older than that and still living in that time?

Ahh... I usually feel so old, but it's good to feel young once in a while.

In the current theme of Teenage Awkwardness, I'm going on a date tomorrow with a fellow 16 year old girl who is just as awkward as I am.

It will be Awkward/Amazing.

I can't tell yet.

Still have to decide on the additional lectures. All those interesting topics being presented simultaniously. Gah!

I have a close female friend who up to 22 years old, virgin, never-been-kissed, perpetually crushing on other guys including me (which she didn't confess until years later) now has a steady, loving boyfriend a year later after she pushed herself to be more out-going. She had her first kiss.

Nothing wrong with taking time to find the right person.

Have fun! Those are the best dates. You get so awkward together that it just goes full-circle accepting the complete awkwardness tornado that you're able to both laugh about it and things just click.

I've already had plenty of kisses and handholding... dated a guy for two years =)

That's why I'm glad I can still be this way.  I don't get lots of crushes, but if anyone ever manages to kiss me again, I can say that it will probably be rather heart-fluttering, etc., for me.
