Where are you getting these avatars Max White? They're awesome.

I vaguely remember Max posting a sprite-based music video of some sort. His avatars all looks an awful lot like the characters in the video.

He's a philosophy instructor. I'm a martial arts instructor. Problem?
I'm not certain beating up your philosophy instructior is going to keep him from causing you problems. You know, besides the moral dilemma of beating up your philosophy instructior. I mean, he's a total idiot beyond reason, but that isn't a reason to hurt him. By the way, have you informed him that one of the atheists he doesn't believe exists attends his class?

rented MGS2 and found the gameplay impenetrable

Hurm, really?  I had a lot of trouble with it when I started, but other than that it seemed to get a lot easier quite quickly.

I couldn't get used to the controls enough to get past the opening scene.  With some patience, I probably could have forced through it and enjoyed the rest of the game, but I got very frustrated with it very quickly.

Edit:  Few things put me off from a game faster than unintuitive or unresponsive controls.

I have. His brain promptly dropped transmission. I can't wait to plunk my deconvert story on him.

I still don't see an issue about having a battle between Epistemology and Pankration, though.

Meh.  Skiiiiiiip.

I mostly have allegiance to Wolverine due to childhood nostalgia and a deep love for burly men in spandex getting the crap beaten out of them (and, you know, taking revenge).  Oh, well.  I thought the movies were pretty cool when they first came out, but I'm a lot older now =/

Personally I always liked Magneto better...

Slap a seizure warning on that thing and put it under a spoiler, would you?  Nikov, at the very least, has epilepsy.

Yea, careful about that stuff. It can scar you in a lot of ways, inducing a seizure being one of them. Spoiler tags are your friend.

Yeah, definitely spoiler. I don't have epilepsy but looking at flashing stuff like that makes me sick to the stomach. Even though it is truly magnificent art.
