I've successfully talked a couple of friends into accompanying me to the local rock shop today. I'm off to spend too much money now.
Make sure to buy some microcline.
And orthoclase.

Contrary to its eye-gouging (I don't think so) appearance in DF, microcline is actually a beautiful stone.
And orthoclase is just kinda boring.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Well I only paid 3 dollars too much and spaaaaarkly. And the crystal opal... Okay, I'll stop now. I've vented enough short-lived elation into the thread. Too many more posts on the same thing and it's a derail.

I ended BMXXIII. What a relief.

I've two tests coming up for the final stretch, and though they're massively important and I haven't studied AT ALL, I've not an ounce of worry in my body. Go figure.

Just finished reading an immensely enlightening essay on MGS2.

I hope to grow up and be that smart someday ._.

I was on #mafia, and we had an 7p game in which both Villains claimed Heroes.
It was not clear, by then, that two heroes was possible, and the king decided not to lynch either of them.
He proceeded to lynch my primary next day king target, and the Villains night-killed the secondary. I then kinged one of the Villains, and the game was over. With a loss, yes, but a funny one.

When, after the game, the Villains were asked why, they replied they hadn't had time to  talk, and the other villain claimed hero just to get to use his Hero-Voice.

Got a link?  Hey, I know the perfect place for you to post it.  Because I'd really like to hear an intelligent explanation of MGS2, and it had better explain everything.

Posted over thar!

They also have an MGS4 essay, which was rather less enlightening but still provided food for thought.  I'm... pretty darned impressed by these guys.

Found a delightful album I've been searching for for a while. Met up with some friends at a stop light, turned a parking lot into a dance party. Have a 113% in my summer class. Continuing to make bank doing shitty commissions on "art".

I would just like to say that Shook's DF Adventure Mode comics are my number one source for entertaining faces. My avatar is from one, sort of. I fully endorse this product and/or service.
