It's a whole crew of people, which really inspires some awe when you realize they had to read through all these pages, select the best ones for three minutes of dramatic reading, and then try to belt them out.

But yeah, if the people actually running TVTropes were appalled by this stuff, they wouldn't let it stay.  They only took down the This Troper pages for "lolicon and shotacon" (don't Google it) due to legal threat (I believe; it was under duress at any rate).
