I was actually telling someone as a joke to cut energy drinks out of the equation and just go straight to injection. He didn't listen, but it was pretty funny.

Well, I can't see any other way for it to exist. There is no "perfect person", in a singular sense. There are tons of people you could be happy with with, in different ways. My point was there is not one person to focus on. I don't know, maybe someone who has lost all faith in everything at 13, and emotionally disowned his mother isn't the best person to ask about love.

. . .

I'm 8 years older than you.  I'm going to go with "definitely not the right person to talk to about this."

Anyway, today was awesome.

Huh. This mead actually isn't bad. It tastes like roses. I was a bit heavy on the flower petals; I didn't shrink the recipe by enough to account for the decreased volume that dried flower petals have compared to fresh (I used about 1/6 the amount the recipe called for; next time, 1/10), but it's drinkable and once it ages enough that the mead part doesn't taste terrible, and maybe gotten some oak flavor from the ones I put that in, it might actually be the first thing I've made that I'd consider charging people money for.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I had a dream about my great grandfather. Although he lived to a ripe old age, I only have a few vague memories of him from when I was a very small child, mostly him flipping me off. In my dream, he just insulted me in a several paragraph long email. Oddly, the more vulgar and hateful his messages, the more I loved the old man.

Also there was a bit about a creature which kept ripping peoples' skin off, but that's not important.

Oh, yeah!  I had a great dream about p-adic numbers last night.  It was a nice treat.  I just wish the professors in my head would be more useful than a. giving me blatantly false information or b. rolling me into sushi.

I had a dream where I was buying a new face because my old one was worn out.

And then I got assaulted by an old man whose face dripped numbers and then an angel saved me but told me that it's too late and then it got really fucking creepy, with Sadako coming out of my mouth and throttling me.

Been single for a year and a half now, and my last went on for over a year before I realized that I wasn't paying attention to what I wanted in a relationship at all, and was continuing it out of a misplaced sense of... kindness, I guess? I've only got the 2 under my belt, so I forgive myself, but it felt pretty bad to be doing precisely the wrong thing for ostensibly the right reasons.

Still, I find myself surprisingly happy to sit back and wait on the relationship front. If in my travels I meet someone I want to spend my time with, or circumstances open possibilities with friends I'm interested in, I'll look into a relationship... but I realize that it's not something I truly need to have, when I can foster solid friendships and honestly love the people in my life. Sounds cheesy as hell, but it's true... and there are enough good people in my life that kinship and closeness are not things I'm hurting for. I can find contentment in knowing what sort of person I'm attracted to, and knowing that those people are out there should I ever seek a relationship with them.

On the dream front, I haven't had a dream I remember clearly in some time, besides some rough snippets. Along with that, I haven't had any nightmares at all in what feels like a decade. I don't think I get afraid like I used to... even when I try to frighten myself with a movie like The Ring, or a game like Amnesia, the worst I feel is grossed out, or panicked to find a solution to the scary thing. On one hand, it's a bit sad, since I miss the feeling of irrational fear... but it's empowering too.

So I always marvel at how white my floors are when I clean them.
Apparently, so is my sink.
I didn't even notice it was dirty at all until it was clean.

Ever find yourself chewing Jesus? Well I just did, totally out of the blue, never say it coming. Cracked up laughing when I noticed. It might be my sense of humour, but that was oddly entertaining.

Well, a while ago, a clergyman on the streets on Sydney approached me, in the name of the holy spirit. After a short conversation about gods place in my life, I left with a tiny prayerbook, and a miniature set of rosary beads, complete with a cross with Jesus on it. Well I thought nothing of it, and happened to leave these items on my desk. However, I have this habit of chewing on pens and spoons and random things without noticing, so you can imagine my surprise to find myself chewing Jesus. It's beyond random...
