I'm a werewolf before I wake up, so that's problematic. No riding on top of buses and changing mid-game to make the winning shot and be the star of the basketball team and winning the girl because I'm suddenly 800% hairier.

Don't worry, the Power of Friendship will come through to save your nerdy whiteboy team in the credit-close montage.  Hmm... Maybe you should get your Dad a fez and smoking jacket, a little cultured relaxation might help him calm down.

I actually know the guy who made those animations. He got me into a little animating myself before I completely quit art against my own will.

Guess who's in the student art show?

This guy, right here. *self point*

According to my drawing teacher, I have an outside shot of winning the drawing category.

I only have a crappy phone pic at the moment, so that'll have to do for now, but I'll take one with a real camera later.

Wow, that is really cool. I'm really digging the unnerving stare and the contrast between the two sides of the background. Especially since it conflicts with the light source and makes it look like the figure is the one creating the wavy light pattern on the right. Totally awesome.

Thanks, doodz. I really appreciate the kind words. I am honestly pretty stoked about it even making the competition, considering that I hadn't even done any doodling prior to my current drawing class in over 10 years. I don't particularly expect it to win anything, but it's cool that it got in. Not everyone was so lucky.

I feel really strange.  I don't know what happened.  It feels like I woke up and something in my mind had shifted.  Something really big, but at the same time minor... a block that was always there clicking into place.

Suddenly, I don't feel lonely, or frightened, or tired, or deranged, or rearranged, or broken, or hopeless.

I don't know what this means for me, or for my relationship with these forums, or for my relationship with all of you.  But I can say that at the very least, I still have the fondest wishes for you all, and wish you the best luck in your future endeavors.

I still wish I could just understand what happened.
Is this the third, or fourth time you reported experiencing lifechanging personal growth on these forums? =]

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.
