Yellow sticky notes, or failing that many paper book marks with notes written on them. I would never write in a book!

My old "high school" writing/journalism teacher liked to write commentary, critic and "jokes" in books she read, and then give them to antiquariates when she was done with them.

Ok, reading works for me again. I'm slowly increasing in material read per day. Maybe I can reach my 'former glory' in time.
So while I do not have the possibility to socialize and hold meaningful conversations, I can console myself with books.
Might be good in the long run.
I'm kinda jealous, wish I could read again as well. There wouldn't be a way to convince you to give me your readz, would there? My family treasure, perhaps? I could always save you a spot in my make believe Doomsday Bunker. It has the pretend luxury commodities of your choice!

I generally don't, partially because Sacrilege and partially because I have a lot of trouble writing in books due to angles and things.

Instead, I take notes on binder paper or in a notebook.

Oh, Freud!  He's interesting, isn't he?  We've been reading about him in my rhetoric course, and I keep on thinking "Wow, I'd like to read some more of this when I know German."  What have you been reading thus far of his?

Indeed. I wouldn't have thought that non-fiction could be immersive, but this "Oh, look what we have discovered together"-style of him is very appealing.
He does that in a really discreet way, so that his respectability doesn't suffer.

Thus far I have read:
Formulations On The Two Principles Of Mental Functioning (needs more notes)
A Note On The Unconscious In Psycho-Analysis
Beyond The Pleasure Principle (will be rereading this for notetaking)

Reading right now:
On Narcissism: An Introduction

So yeah, haven't reached the part where he's trolling feminists.
Anyway, when comparing the male and female 'choice of libidual objects', he seemed quite apologetic about what he had written about women.

Regarding writing in books:
I use a pencil and will erase it, once I have made my notes.

I could never even consider harming any of my books like that.

Unless we're talking about notebooks and shit. Those are made to be written on and shit.

Otherwise... no, you won't see me defiling a book.

I got our 6-year-old laptop back from ridiculous slowness via puppy linux.

Yay for getting all my old stuff back, even though I won't be able to do much else with the computer.

Hey, don't make me feel bad about it :/
When I'm at work I don't always have the possibility to look things up.

I would never do this in a fictional book, since there's no need.

MRI was a smashing success, clocking in at under 20 minutes, and one of the almost 100 pictures is now in the photo share thread.
