meh, its 1984 or the Ender's series plus a little Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy on the side for me (Ender's story is really fucked up).

well i making a point on how Ender's life is really fucked up ever since the day he was born. kid goes through more bullshit than anything else and then it seeps into his companions too like Bean.

The Sword of Truth books? If so, then you should/should never watch that series. It completely mangles the books in a hilariously awful way.

Darken Rahl: (so goddamn afflably) "The Book of Counted Shadows has long eluded my grasp along with the Secret of Power contained within its pages. Do we have troops in the region?" It's all very Springtime for Hitler

maybe it's just me, but I found the series to be hillaribad.

I know, it was. Amazing.

Bioshock kind of piqued my interest in her work, I guess.

Same here, but I can't find a copy anywhere.

Goddamn Philippine bookstores not stocking goddamn books by goddamn Ayn Rand.

No, Ender's Game (plus the rest of the series, once through--not the Shadow quartet, though), Hitchhiker's Series, and 1984.

I loved Ender's Game.

Never read any of the sequels; are they any good as well?

I adored them, but most people hate 'em.  I think it may be due to the extreme tone shift, but I thought they were fascinating explorations, albeit in a different vein than Ender's Game itself.  A bit less adventure-novelish and a bit more philosophical, I suppose.

Also, I'm happy because I enjoyed a nice hot meal of breaded pork chops. Mmm.

many fans recommend never going near them so that the world will remain a happy place, but I like them.

I enjoyed the sequels too.  I didn't hear about the apparent hate for them until a while after reading them.  It has been a while, maybe I should read them through again.
