Dangerous?
I thought the Japanese created them simply so that they could lose to the gigantic many-tentacled boss. And all minibosses. Really everything. It's like tentacles are kryptonite to the Japanese.

HP Lovecraft isn't that scary, or really scary at all.  The revelation in The Rats in the Walls unsettled me, but I guess the story's brevity left it unable to really shock me.

Rats in the Walls was the only Lovecraft instance of nightmare fuel unleaded, but his writing style is wonderful. He knows how to build suspense and make the reader constantly second-guess his estimations as to the course of the plot.
His poems are awesome, though.

Well, the "this" you mentioned is understandable as that thing is right smack in the middle of the uncanny valley. There's a massive "Kill it with ANYTHING!" message bouncing off that armless, legless, freaky thing.

So after four years we get our first interesting book assingment, well a few actually, Mother Courage (a nice little drama), Stranger (a very awesome book) and now Chairs (another drama, and as i've read the Bald Singer today i have a feeling it's going to be just as batshit insane).
Anyway, today we had a debate about Stranger, three groups, one would be the jury, on persecution and the third one would be the defense, we would then argue our case about him and why we think he should be accused/set free.I wanted to be defense but i got put into the persecution group where i was the only person who read the book and was probably the only person that could explain a point properly.It was very fun and i got a 5.
The math test was horrible tho, but nevermind that, the moon is full tonight and it's rather huge and all awesome looking trough the few clouds that are moping around in the sky

This week began as shitty because I had 5 exams, and the first one did not go too well (I think I've passed it, and the teacher is likely to be generous anyway, but it's going to be a closer call than I expected and wanted), and I was stood up (well, sort of) by a girl this tuesday . But the three that have come after that have gone fairly well, so I'm kind of happier.

I just went to the latrine to go relieve myself but encountered a difficulty. It's nine o'clock at night here, and the porta-potties (we don't have any indoor plumbing anywhere) were impossible to navigate. Having not learned my lesson from the earlier medical simulation, I don't have a light on me. I was considering trying to borrow a flashlight from someone or trying to go by the light on my watch when I realized something. I've got my NVG's in my pocket. I just took a shit while using night vision goggles. I haven't stopped giggling since.
