Too mainstream to be that.

I came up with a crazy plan to win at knowledge bowl Regionals next week. I'm going to learn to draw the world from memory. I successfully drew North and South America, countries and all, in under two minutes. I'm aiming to draw the whole world in 7 minutes. I have 10 days to learn Africa and speed up my other continents. Go go visual learning!

In other news, I went to a pretty rad valentine's day party wherein I learned to dance.

I was going somewhere with my dad yesterday and we passed a VFW hall.  I said I was considering joining, and then we had to figure out what foreign war I was in.  I decided I'd either:

A:  Ask if Vietnam was the really bad one, and then say "Yeah, I was in that one"

B:  Mix them all together.

C:  World War 1.  "Hey boys, we sure did a crackerjack job of stickin' it to the Kaiser, eh?"

sure, it might not be the most awesome gun on earth, but it's the best I got and it is so damn satisfying watching enemies turn to gibs.

I got a package full of irony. I have subscriptions to Scientific American and PC Gamer magazine, both of which still have the address of my parents' house in Ohio. They mail them to me when they come, occasionally with little snacks, goodies, or whatnot. This time, they sent a bag of chocolate. This month's Scientific American has a cover article titled "Scaling Back Obesity." Thus, I open a box, see "Scaling Back Obesity" and a bag full of chocolate.

I finally have a life goal: to be an astronautical engineer.
All I really know about it is that it involves building spaceships with difficult math. Vector-difficult math. Possibly even team-of-Vector-clones-difficult math. But still, building spaceships.

.... Motivation feels warm.
