Of course smoking is cool, haven't you ever watched a noir movie? It's very stylish, though of course it's not worth the effect it has on you, I'm waiting for when I can smoke a cigarette that has all the style, none of the drawbacks... Though of course I'll be waiting a long time.

Ditto actually, I hate cigarette smoke, I know one or two heavy smokers. One has a house I can't stand to be in, the other has a car that I can't stand to be in.

Actually on a related point, one of them took up smoking cigarettes to get off smoking marijuana, he said that it had a strongly adverse affect on him. He said he started having a lot of trouble telling the difference between dreams and reality (he thought things that happened in dreams actually happened), and he'd frequently "phase out" for periods of time. I've experienced the latter (it's very, very disconcerting, you're not asleep you just don't respond, or feel anything until someone breaks you out of it) and once or twice the former when I was on some meds.

I like cigarette smoke, or at least I physically like the smell of it. The idea of what it is repulses me so I never really enjoy it and try to get out of there if I'm in a room with a smoker.

Well, that was unexpected. While minding my business, I get called outside only to learn that a pod of whales are swimming by. Not too much to see, but there definitely were whales out in the distance. About 3-5 of them if I saw correctly.

Add to the atmosphere, it was also raining as they were passing by.

I agree that cig smoke is more or less foul, but I do enjoy pipe smoke if it's good quality tobacco. A good tobacconist's shop is actually a wonderfully sensuous place, with scents of cherry and vanilla and deep oaky aromas.
