English teacher comes up to me after I finish this test we had on vocabulary with two double-breasted jackets and asks if I want to try either of them on.
The first one, a Banana Republic, is much too big, but the second one fit perfectly.
Only problem is that it's missing a button, but hey, when you live with a seamstress, that's not much of a problem, now is it?
It's a tux jacket, too, and goes with my tux pants.

On the other hand, my mother thinks my Polish accent sounds Japanese.  Knowing me, this is probably true >_>  Well, at least I have something to work on.

... Why not just learn some ungodly combination of Japanese and polish and call it a day?

On the other hand, my mother thinks my Polish accent sounds Japanese.  Knowing me, this is probably true >_>  Well, at least I have something to work on.

But that's good! The sounds in both languages are quite similar, so unless your mother really meant "accent" as in which syllable to stress, then you should take it as compliment.
