In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Math homework.
We're multiplying vectors to determine whether or not they're parallel.
Kinda lame, though, because so many of these lessons could be combined.
Why do we need a separate lesson for 3D vectors when the formulas are bloody well the exact same as those for 2D?

They can't be all that hard if they have the same formula as something you already know.

In EU3: annihilating the main French army as Holland after the useless Burgundians surrendered three provinces for peace. (Aragon is distracting about four regiments, but somehow not capturing any land. Thanks, guys.)

Albeit, basic arithmetic in space, but still easy.

Ok, you got me. The weird < signs messed me up.

My point is that how is it so hard to do 3d vectors if you can already do 2d vectors and all of the formulas are the same?

Show me a question, I bet I could do it.
