Definately sounds interesting.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

... Hahahaha.

In other happy math news, this.
Yeah, a lot of those look exactly the same as stuff I see working with fractal flames. Which makes sense, since they both use fancy maths.

Those graphs are plotted on a complex plane, right? So...is it only the unreal roots, then? Or do all the real roots just sit on the real axis? I've never been clear on how that worked.

Yeah, all the real roots just sit on the x-axis, because the real numbers are a subfield of the complex numbers.  In other words, every real root is also a complex root, just with an imaginary coefficient of zero.

Got my Student Achievement Report (Half Semester report card) and everything is spectacular, my lowest mark is 75%, I have Three courses with 85%, one with 88% and one at 96%.

Also, I have apparently not been going to Choir for the past two months.

Yep I recognised some fractal patterns I often get in Apophysis as well. I guess somewhere in there the math must be quite similar.

How about budget space exploration?
They managed to get an off-the-shelf HD Camera to the edge of space, with store-bought materials. Bad Ass.

EDIT: This camera was pointed down, and gyroscopically stabilized. You can watch the ground recede.
EDIT EDIT: This one looks out across the upper atmosphere. Pretty striking, and also has a great soundtrack.

Had a sudden revelation about the novel I'm working on, and suddenly things make a lot more sense.  Yeeeees.  Thank you, long walks spent mulling over the past.

Moi?

Possibly because I am the world's most belligerent yamato nadeshiko.

Or possibly because that sounds like more appropriate scenery than suburbia and the occasional ice cream truck.

In any case, I now have a Motivation for the male lead--not a very effective motivation, but an interesting one--and sailing should be smoother.
