Yeah, the video has the actual lyrics.
I found it funny when I checked the CD art and found out what they were saying (or mayhaps screaming would be more appropriate).

Indeed.
Duke's castle almost makes me want to play Dwarf Fortress again and build a castle and line the walls with dorf bones.

Midterms, finals, or technical difficulties. :I

Please keep this thread to saying when/if you expect you'll be gone, though.

And not defenestration.
That idea should just be thrown out the window.

The best subforum.

I've also been getting a craving for some Dorfan and Fortan but I'm going to wait until Night Creatures because they sound cool bro.

I demand longcoats and wide-brimmed hats become clothing in DF once we can be witch-hunters. (Speaking of which, once adventure mode has tailoring and stuff will we be able to make our own clothes?)

I too have recently found myself hankering for another round of bossing around little bearded idiots, but I'm running into the same problems I've had since April.  The military screen is all crazy, and I don't know what half the skills do now, so I can only reasonably hope to have competent start with the Embark Now guys.  Which is fine with me, I tired of perfectly optimized starting parties long ago, since it ceases to matter after the first year.

All the same, I feel like I owe it to the game and Toady to honestly try playing some more.  It is a genuinely fun game.  And I still need to wrap my head around the tagging and modding...

You biscuitheads ought to consider hopping into DF Masters 3.5. It needs more contestants!

Hazordhu II.

We've already got a very dwarfy fortress going, are surrounded on both sides by semi-hostile races annoyed by our presence, and on my first day a good will ambassador for the orcs mysteriously ended up dead inside the fort, and no one knows how it happened. I'm pretty sure his crazed mount tried to kill me when I stepped outside the fortress though. Good times.

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

It's a highway in Britain. By dint of being a highway in Britain, it is shockingly awful to the point of quite possibly being planned by the evil that lies in the heart of human beings made manifest.

Except that, by dint of population (and thus tax) density, it's much higher-quality that basically anything we have down here in Oz.

And yet it's so much worse it creates a black hole of low grade badness that infests all who use it.

This isn't me ripping on England, England is a phenomenal country, I'm going there in a little over a month and I'm sure it'll be fantastic. But their highways are, according to all British people I know, including my father, fashioned by Satan when he was having a particularly off day.

In contrast, here's what Bill Bryson, who lives in Britain and was born in America, has to say on travelling the highways of the Australian Bush (highways any closer to the city than that are boring):

Almost all Australian highways are still just two lanes wide, and what a difference it makes. You're not cut off from the wider world, as you are on a motorway, but part of it, intamately connected. All the million details of the landscape are there beside you, up close, not blurred into some indistinct, tediously epic backdrop. It  changes your whole outlook. There's no point in hurrying when all it's going to do is put you in the feathery wake of that old chicken truck half a mile ahead. Might as well hold back and enjoy the scenery.

Okay I have a confession to make. The entire point of this post was to post an excerpt from a book I'm currently enjoying immensely and I don't give a rip about British highways.
