Did the forum just crash for a minute, or was it just me?

It's been years since I played this game. Oh Commandos 2, I forgot how I love you so.

Huh, no shit.  I bought that game with disposable money when it was new.  I loved the original Commandos, even though I sucked out loud at it, so it seemed like a natural buy.  I could figure out how to get through the first hurdle of the first mission.  Or rather, the second mission.  The first mission is like a tutorial; come daytime, I couldn't figure out how to get my guys into the sub-base, because their disguises would always fall apart before they got through the gate.

Successfully finished the Mechanar while healing as a shadow priest for a warrior, DK, and paladin.  Their self healing helped a ton.  We were even down to two during a boss fight and somehow won when the DK finally got aggro while I ran screaming from the ads like a little girl.

Darn healadin that left early on, and the random dungeon finder couldn't find a replacement.

That is exactly where I am now. I can only use the Spy, which is okay I guess because he kicks ass six ways from Sunday and I can pair him with the thief.

So, the trick is, let the spy do his thing and find a quiet way to get your dudes inside, instead of hijacking a truck and trying to sneak the whole crew in at once?

If I didn't have absolutely everything in the world to be doing, I might dig out my old CDs and give it a shot, now that I'm smarted than I was in those days.

Yeah, even with uniforms on it seems impossible to sneak your dudes in. I just drove the spy in on his lonesome.

They smarted him right up.

I used to have a demo for Commandos Behind Enemy Lines.  After several weeks of trying I beat the first mission.

Installing FFVII on my comp.  I might actually go back and finish FFVI at some point, too, but for now I feel like emoing around as Vincent.

Dirge of Cerberus would be much better for emoing around as Vincent.
