A cat fresh and still dizzy from the operation table ran away in stumbling panic from the vet's parking lot of the town I live in. People searched for days but came up with nothing, however, nine days later the cat has now shown up at it's home, having crossed an area of more than two miles (bird's way). This made me happy, and deserves a :D.

Those are metric/Swedo-Norwegian miles, by the way. That means 2 miles=20 km.

"Mile" is an age-old word that, throughout the times, has meant a lot of different actual lengths. In Sweden, and I think Norway, a "mil" (=mile) is 10 kilometres. This length was introduced at the same time of metric system, therefore a "metric" mile.

If you're thinking of the "Swedo", that was just a way of bending the word to make the sentence sound better.

I've had two girls make passes at me in the last 5 days. Must be the new cologne, I guess.

Cologne doesn't work that way. I'm sorry, but it doesn't.

Who is he going to trust, you or Axe Body Spray?  Those commercials where a light spritz will make your girlfriend's mother swim the ocean to jump your bones sure look legit to me.

I'm still the only other girl I know that actually uses that stuff. Mainly because it seemed half my boyfriends used it and they tended to accidentally leave some with me. I'm too lazy to go get my own deodorant. :P

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

Where's that quote from?

The first one is from Young Frankenstien (FrAnkenstEEN is telling his assistant how he found a really big dead guy to make into a no-longer-dead-guy and his assistant says "He must have an enormous shvanstuka!" and frankenstien says *beat* "That goes without saying")

The second one is from Quote's twitter.

I somehow botched making alfredo noodles. It turned into alfredo soup. Surprisingly, it's not bad.

Quote from: Love Poem
Beyond watching eyes
With sweet and tender kisses
Our souls reached out to each other
In breathless wonder

And when I awoke
From a vast and smiling peace
I found you bathed in morning light
Quietly studying
All the messages on my phone

Well, Minecraft was pretty fun.  Finding some lava, I decided to stay true to my DF origins and perform SCIENCE on it.  Apparently, lava doesn't flow very realistically (it sometimes randomly avoids spaces next to it) so it was easy just to go up top and scoop some up in my newly forged buckets.  Now I just have to work out what to do with these 2 infinite sources of lava I have just obtained.

Stay true to your DF origins, man. Put it on top of a hill, then kick it over. !!SCIENCE!!
