Janet has a past that shouldn't be discussed in polite company ;)
I dunno, doesn't this imply that the present and future are different?

I've always thought so. Isn't each moment unique, whether or not it's particularly interesting?

Yesterday I was wallowing in a theoretical depression that causes one to just not want to do anything but sleep. Today started with me getting on the 15 bus instead of the 16 bus, causing me to be an hour late for my first class. At the end of the line, waiting for the driver to get back to ship me to my late class I walked outside and looked up at the overcast skies just menacing to rain. I stretched a bit, took off my rain jacket and felt my shirt flutter in the breeze. It was like an outer covering of ice came off, as I stretched my body I stretched my mind and poked at the coals that are my soul. There were still a few embers left, and I was going to re-ignite them.

I fear hold my hands in front of this small mote of heat may not be enough to heat it up and I'll still need some event to slap some sense into me, but at least I know I still have that sense of urgency within me. A drive to succeed. I did things I normally ignored out of fear, seeing the time, checking e-Mails, answering texts.
I guess I'm just sick of drowning in my own sense of uselessness.

After many painful failures on my part, I made some promises about certain things, promises that I would never do certain things again.

I lied.

More on this later.  I will elaborate once preparations are finished (Rather than elaborating now, and doing the preparations later, which is the better part of my problems)

Sweet. I think I can guess what it is.

Never forget the opening warning.  More of the story is true than you would ever believe.  I recommend the book - it's drier than the movie, but it's still a fascinating read.

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.
