The scottishness will have to be dyed in, though.

Actually Tartan is probably woven but that sounds brutal

I look forward to the day I teach them to swear.

Yipee!!  That's got to be a good sign, congrats :)

I'm pretty happy that my pneumonia is... over?  I'm still using the inhaler about once a day, but I think it's mostly just helping with the recent pollen wave and some lowkey asthma I've suffered in silence all my life.  Most important, I was able to go out exercising again!!!

well *mostly* I "just" walked with my dad playing Pokemon GO, but baby steps, my muscles have atrophied a bit.  Think I'm exaggerating?  I lost another 5 pounds, and I don't think it was fat.  I'm down to 162.

Which is great and all but I need to be stronk AND lovely.  It'll come back.  We ate at a sit-down restaurant, which was my first time in... anyway it tastes great, I saved a huge portion for later, and being waited on was only mildly mortifying :-X

Mom was sad/upset she hasn't watched any comedy movies in ages (mostly cause my dad isn't a huge fan and thus when he looks for movies he never looks for comedies). I directed her to Hot Fuzz and she loved it.

I'm surprised you didn't sneak Hot Fuzz by your dad.  It's action-y.

I'm a tiny bit a nerd for Doom.  I love the soundtrack especially, as it captured something I felt as a distressed child that I cannot in good faith find again.  It's a straight nostalgia for me.

I dont think I've ever heard this particular rendition, but my favorite doom tracks include E1M5.  They do a good job to E1m8.  The biggest shame in life is that we cannot spare the time to properly appreciate good tributes to good things....

Nah, he watched it too and also liked it simply cause its a damn good movie. He was just in a decent mood beforehand so it wasn't like he was doing way better or anything.

But that said the issue is partly a difference of tastes and partly an issue of them just being kinda terrible at looking for good stuff to watch.

Found this site, which plays noises whenever wikipedia is edited. Feels a bit like windchimes, neat to just listen to while doing other stuff.
