Time Commando was exactly that, but better. You got to kick caveman and zombie astronauts in the process.

I'm curious as to how a tank would evolve. Would it climb out of the primordial ooze wiggling it's track-nubs, feeding on smaller jeeps before crawling onto the shore having evolved proper treds?

Chip’s Challenge, an old puzzle game in which the objective was to collect computer chips and leave the level.

Pictured are the eponymous Chip; a helper marker which would likely explain the mechanics of the level or give a hint when stepped on; the flippers, which would allow Chip to cross water safely.

Looks like the first one's free on Steam if you need to relive the experience, or to whomever never had the chance.

It's also important to note that this was, like, the game of the windows 3.2 era. We played the shit out of it. Only other game that compares is that ski game where the snowman appears and eats you

Oh, SkiFree? I read somewhere that you can hold shift to go faster and you'll outski the abominable snowman thing.

I definitely got eaten a lot.

I used to rock skifree and chips adventure.

I was super sad they discontinued it for like..... what, XP, I think? Windows 2000? I think it was on 95/98.

There's a not-as-pleasant Chip Challenge remake on Steam, by the same creator.

I actually got it after posting that image, it's free, and you can change the graphics back to the ones used back in the age-old windows 3.2 version from my childhood

I don't wanna be "that guy", but Windows 3.2 was a China-exclusive version of Windows 3.11 released to fix the bugs in the Chinese translation. The mental image of young scriver playing Chip's Challenge on an OS entirely in Chinese despite being in Sweden amuses me, though.

Scriver is the designated handsome norse viking around these parts, he can plunder as he sees fit. Maybe he raided some coastal chinese town back in the day?

If you were a viking in Sweden, and you wanted to raid a coastal Chinese Town, would it be better to take your boat down and around Africa, or head North and East through the Arctic Ocean and through the Bering Strait?

Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage!

the duck is trying to make a quack.

if the duck begins to quack, i dont have to kill the little dude that should have been killed at birth for being alone due to my own stupidity of eggs, and then i can kill its father to prevent it from raping the chickens to death, and its mother will not be alone. peace will reign

when chicken politics becomes deciding who needs to die for others to live. @_@
