i believe projected date is somewhere around april or march, but they've made it expressly clear they have no plans to rush the game, so
honestly i dont think it's... a great idea for me to do so but everyone has their flaws and i know i just really want the dumb game by the good polish rpg people

i got frothing mad at bethesda boasting about how it'll have bugs on launch for fallout: 76 like what the legitimate fuck

So did ya read the actual Bethesda release? The section reads

We all know with the scale of our games, and the systems we let you use, that unforeseen bugs and issues always come up. Given what we're doing with 76, we know we're opening everyone up to all new spectacular issues none of us have encountered. Some we're aware of [...] Others, we surely don't [sic]. We need your help finding them, and advice on what's important to fix. We'll address all of it, now and after launch.

This is a beta. There gon' be bugs. Our QA team is definitely smaller than the playerbase, so we expect you to find things they didn't. Report them so we can fix them plz.

News sites are just spinning it as "shock! Horror! Bethesda plans to release buggy game!" because it's better for viewership than "Bethesda plans to run beta to identify as many bugs as possible before full release".

That's not to say they can't still mess it up, but they're certainly not boasting about it.

koss, I don't care how hyped you are, wait until the game is out before you buy it. You literally lose nothing. Recognise that your hype is just that: hype. At this point everything that CDPR has released about CP2077 is cinematic or labeled work in progress, so if you buy now you could get anything. They could theoretically give you a bug-ridden snes game.
No game is perfect before it's made. No game in development is immune to development hell. No matter how much you trust CDPR, it's absolutely possible that they mess this up through no fault of their own. And people basing their purchase decision on what people who have played the game say is the only thing that gives a profit-motivated company an incentive to release something good, rather than something that looks good in trailers.

There's no excuse to make an exception just because you think it looks good.


And about that bethesda tweet: it's the equivalent of toady saying that the next feature release of DF will probably be buggy. It's better that they admit that it's going to be buggy than otherwise.
