Reading the soap opera parody in the most recent section of the 'Things that made you sad today' thread made me happy. Unfortunately it also induced the same kind of brain breaking incomprehension that the 'Cargo Ship' page on TvTropes does.

Melt them 'til they're runny,
Give a blob to every town
Don't charge them any money

Then let the sculptors model
From their bit of the stuff
A statue of the working dog
Make sure they make it tough

Into every metal muscle
And every hard bronze bristle
Mould love and heart and loyalty
And for males, add a pizzle.

So everybody who goes past
To work or for a jog,
Will see the scrawny bag o' bones
We call 'the working dog'

If strangers raise their eyebrows
Would place Science or Art higher
Tell them that the dog reminds us
That god, he loves a trier.

That Serial Killer game was a hoax? I'm sorry to whoever was looking forward to it, but that really made my day. It was very funny and cleverly done.

Yeah, I woke up, checked the most recent topics, and saw that the Serial Killer thread was locked. My first thought was "Hey, I guess the crowd must've gotten too rambunctious and Toady put them all in their place.", and then I check and it's more like the game's creator going "Haha, I trolled your asses so hard it's not even funny, but it is funny because I'm laughing my ass off about it.".

Heh.

I actually WAS looking forward to it. On a disturbing note though, if anyone wants to become wildly popular with the roguelike community, they now know what they have to do...
