Got a summer job with the BBC! Helping them with their archive and such.

Didn't think I'd get it. They'd sent out a request for more info because of the "large number of applicants." But here I am. This summer has really been my summer. I graduate with a first and get (albeit temporary) work with the BBC!

You may be able to tell that I'm slightly over the moon.

Oh, hell no. If I find Dr. Who stuff, I'm looking for the most recent stuff and burning it. Maybe that will get them to bring back proper scriptwriting as a practice more honourable than idle pandering.

Do us all a favour and incinerate anyrhing by Steven Moffat, especially if it hasn't been made yet. Same goes for Moffat himself, if he's lurking in the archive for some reason, though I'd be surprised if he read anything written by people other than himself.

Incinerating Moffat is probably an overreaction. He did write some pretty damn good one~shot episodes after all. His ability to write anything longer than that or weave plot points into an entire season deserves a heavy flogging though. I'm kinda surprised at how long they kept him on, given how most people seem to react negatively instead of positively towards him. Though I guess that so long as he didn't produce too many obvious stinkers or sink the series the higher-ups had no reason to rock the boat and find someone else to replace him with.

I'm happy because I figured something out, though in retrospect I am disappointed and regretful that I ever made a saw handle with a slot for the blade all the way through the back, I'm still glad I worked this out and eliminated the last persistent annoyance I had in my designs.

...though the Sash has a throughcut back as I haven't decided exactly where I want the redesign to go and it's still sturdy due to the longer nose.



Ignore the scratch on the Carcasse saw near the larger bolt, it didn't stand out without the flash and I don't have a picture after filing it out.

Though the dovetail handle is newest and prettier, I'm especially proud of the carcasse saw as I actually cut down a rather floppy feeling 3.5 inch deep miter/tenon saw to produce the current stiff and tighter cutting 2 inch deep blade I set back into my first handle with an uncut back.

I guess I should start building furniture or something huh?

What the hell do you do with that many saws? You can't possibly use them all.

Small saw is finely toothed for clean fitting joints, the long shallow one is good for initial sizing and long cuts in tight spaces, the longest and deepest one is for initial shaping and long cuts across bigger pieces of wood since the handle lets you put a good two inches of saw into the material without hitting your knuckles.

Also have a coping saw I use all the time for stuff like, initial roughing out of those handles there and other complex curves.
