Yeah. Too much seafood. Had to ask for specials to avoid it.

THERE CANNOT BE ENOUGH SHRIMP

We celebrated midsummer eve yesterday. The main course was seven types of pickled herring and two types of salmon. And condiments (among them shrimp).

But I think what Chairman is referring to is specifically the ubiquitous Sandwich Cake, which in most variants contain, among other delicious things, shrimp and other seafood.

It wasnt that. It was black and dryish. Kind of like madeira cake.

Overall there was seafüd everywhere if you didnt specifically ask to be spared... but eh, it wasnt too hard to get a meaty alternative once you did

OK after I stopped dying from laughter there, I found that Doom 3 is like, 1$ on steam today.

If you haven't played what is now a horror classic, I highly recommend it.

I'm gonna have to back this up, a ton of people liked shitting on doom 3 when it came out because of it's pacing and so on. But it's genuinely a pretty good game, especially if you think of it less as "i'm the motherfucking doomguy" and more "i'm one of those marines that usually dies horribly oh my god"

Basically this. It's is very much not a fast-paced FPS murderfest, even though it does have it's share of gratuitous violence. It does a genuine horror atmosphere like no other.

Easily worth the 1$, at any rate.

I'm listening to pieces from the Lost soundtrack. Many of them are really good.

Spoiler: Here's a few of them (click to show/hide)

Does the BFG edition have enough in it to justify the $8 price compared to the $1 version?

My understanding is that that's what Doom 1 was like originally anyways. It's just that, like a fine wine, rather than become outdated, Doom 1 has aged into the glorious murder rampage that we all know and love which is what Doom 4 emulates.

Both IMO.  Doomguy is that 80s action hero on steroids that shoots his way through 40 mooks and doesn't break a sweat.  But its also a horror game that puts you through hell.  Pun intended.

It was the player levels that turned Doomguy into a legendary badass by pitting him against 800 cacodemons at once.  Before that he was just a normal badass.

I'm mostly all moved in to a new apartment! Walls are painted, new bed (holy hell it's almost too comfy) and new pots and pans. Things are good.
