I remember back in the day when Avatar: The Last Airbender was running, but I never really cared to watch it and never got through even to the end of the first season, and I never even touched the sequel. I mentioned as much to my roommate the other day and he told me that I absolutely needed to watch it again, and so I did, starting from the beginning. I was initially worried that I would be too old to really enjoy it, but I was very happily proven wrong about that. I'm almost glad I didn't watch it back then and spoil it for myself now. As-is, it really was one to remember.

I know the movie adaptation is to be avoided like the plague, but I'll definitely have to give Korra a look at some point in the future. I couldn't start it now, but if that's even half as good as this was that time won't be wasted.

korra is not as good as avatar, but its still good. shame that nickelodeon killed it off (less airings, played it at weird times, dumped the last few episodes of the last season on their website)

Not as much of a happy for me as a potential happy for others, but base CK2 is free for the next 48 hours or so on Steam. Worth noting that even if you don't own the DLC,  if you play with a friend who does you'll get to access it.

Wow, neat. Looks like it's not just a free weekend, but you actually get the game registered to your steam account. DLC still costs money tho, but it's half off right now.


Playing around with the Unity game engine. Going through the roll-a-ball tutorial. Pretty cool, I think I might try making more complicated stuff with it. I got a little experience with Unity in high school years back (also a roll-a-ball tutorial) but I brushed it off at the time. It's more fun than I thought. Much easier than writing a whole game (or game engine) from scratch.

More fun than playing games too.

For the next version, so far I've fixed a worldgen crash, changed the handling for the nemesis unit load error (it tries to patch the corrupted world now), allowed recentering on the item in "item inaccessible" announcements, added a worker status line in the view for workshops that have one worker assigned, and added the ability to give nicknames to all buildings, zones and stockpiles.
