You know every time I remember to come on here I still don't know how to feel about this whole concept becoming so much of a thing.

I guess it's a sign I should probally get addled out of my head and wear pajama pants for a hat more often.

My driving lessons are going very smoothly. At least that's one thing that's right with my freaking life.

Pupper in my lap getting scritches, she makes the goofiest face while im scratching the side of her ear lobe, made even goofier by how goofy this poor dog looks in the first place. Shes some hybrid between two pitbull breeds.
how big is she/how old is she?

edit: if the other dog is a pitbull or a pit mix make sure it has something to chew on otherwise pitbulls (espessaly puppies) will tear stuff up. you want to get a toy that will last so get something that is plastic or rubber (you can give them a stuffed toy every so often but you will have to clean up the stuffing once they rip it apart)

I just wanted to play a game. This desire ended up instigating a minor dwarf invasion.

As far as invasions go, it's fairly tame. We showed up and started submitting bug reports and fixing their wiki.

Coffee on rice milk to make it all feel better whoo.
Tastes much nicer than the more-common soy in my opinion.

Before too long I will be home, able to sleep (at least nap) and begin decompressing and recovering from all the myriad stresses that have been just about shunting me off the deep end over the past little while. Phew.
And then this evening there are excellent bands to see...

The thing I was afraid of in this post is now over. It was indeed extremely hard, but I think I'm better for it now, as well as from military life in general. I'm a little stronger, but more importantly more social. Having had to rely on and be relied on by a bunch of strangers for a few weeks, I now apparently look much more approachable. On my way home for a free weekend, people asked me for help and I gave it, and I wasn't afraid to ask for help when I needed it. Previously, I would just have blended into the crowd all of the way and done everything by myself. But as it turns out, there's no such thing as 'individual performance' in a military; "at least I did it right" isn't an excuse.

Next day: HOW THE FUCK DID I THINK THAT WAS EVER GOOD I HATE MY ART I MUST BURN IT BURN IT ALL

I have that.

How long have you been doing nightshift?

Also in what sector? (Retail or whatever)

What sector is the non-nightshift position?

I ask because in transferring from nightshift to day shift after two years - both in retail - I found I was being paid the same to do twice as much work and deal with more idiots, though arguably at a less intense level.

I do have a massive preference toward not being around people though, and saw less of my wife on days than nights, which was rather pants.

Anyhow, good luck brah.

One year, retail, grocery. The new one is the same, less hours and without nightshift bonus. I think it's worth it, though. Nightshift is slowly kill8ng me.

I went grocery shopping today. A pretty ordinary happy, but it's nice seeing food (well, some food, it's hardly full) in the fridge and on the shelf. Not needing to have the exact same thing for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day because there's nothing else to have is also nice.

My brother works the night shift at a local grocery store, and he loves it for the same reason hector did, plus he got extra graveyard pay. I hated it, personally. I can only do so much standing around, and I was a lot happier when I got moved to the afternoon shift. It just comes down to personal preference.
