This morning I exchanged gifts with my housemates, thus participating in this whole "Christmas cheer" business and avoiding the guilt that usually occurs when I am surprised with presents from people who I have nothing to give in return.

Then, I... sat around for hours. And did some laundry, and had a shower! Then in the evening (quite late, actually) I headed into the city for wont of something to do, taking advantage of the day's free public transport. On the way I called both of my parents for the mandatory Christmas greetings (actually, wait, I called my mother earlier on in the day I think) and then ate a delightful-yet-expensive "phish" burger from LoTF and bought some of my home state's signature beers from some weird little liquor store in the CBD.
(Actually, part of my reason for leaving the house in the first place was to ascertain if any liquor stores were open, haha.)


I guess it wasn't such a bad day all told, even if I have been rather sober for most of it. Time to change that and get slightly tipsy from these weak-yet-lovable beers before midnight rolls around! Merry Christmas! And tomorrow there are exciting op-shop sales to attend!

Well I'm waiting for my dinner to defrost, should have had it thawing overnight but oh well, thats what the defrost setting on the cooker is for. Either way I had a nice chat with my mum and nan and now have additional chocolates and other nice things, not many but I'm hard to buy stuff for.

Mostly had them over the last two days, which were very nice.  I felt good, and I still feel good for this last day of the season.  I'd expect to feel socially exhausted, but I just don't...  It's nice.

My uncle was visiting for Christmas and my parents decided it was a great time to all come over and try playing VR for the first time.  It was a blast seeing my elders get into it.  They really enjoyed it.  Watching them play Space Pirate Trainer inspired me to pick it up again, and I just achieved a major push on my best score.  Got myself to global rank #368.  Reached my previous max wave in Arcade mode, when previously I was only achieving this in Explorer mode (same but health regenerates after each wave).
