It's probably just overjoyed with the attention it's receiving.

Sounds kinda rubbish to me, but I don't know the exchange rate for Canadian Rubles to... basically any sensible currency.

How big were the bottles of Dr. Pepper and chocolate bars and chips?

Three standard, one person bottles. About 600 mL. The chocolate bars were all crunchies. The chip bag was, as stated, big.

Sounds kinda rubbish, I was expecting 2L minimum per bottle, man.

As previously stated no knowledge of exchange rates and I'm apparently not interested enough to look.

Big isn't very specific though, let's focus on that. Big for me is Party size, as opposed to Family size or... regular American size, which is what I'd call big in the U.K.

I'm a wee fatty, it's great.

It's like 1.2 $CAN/1 $US ish in purchasing power?  I was there recently, but I may be wildly off-kilter, especially since I was in a tourist town.

Looking up, it's $1USD=$1.27CAD. That $15CAD calculates to about $11.80USD. Depending on what kind of store you bought those, and depending on the brands of chocolate and chips, that's a bit more than expected. Assuming a decent dollar store, each bottle could run $1-$1.50USD*, each bar of chocolate is usually $1, and a big bag of chips could be $2-$3. At most you should be spending $10 in the US for that. But then again, vast quantities of sugars, fats, and carbohydrates crammed into tiny, delicious spaces is very cheap in the US. It might not be as cheap in Canada.
