Actually, relevant happy: Got a job interview with Tesco. Not exactly a high standard job, but certainly better paid than most others at my (previously completely unemployed) level. Here's to hoping I get it.

I absolutely love my university course. Assignment is to analyze a discourse in a historiographical context. I ask if I can use Trump's victory speech, and get the go ahead. So here I am, listening over and over Trump talk about how he is the bestest so I can write a paper on it. Life can be good in unusual ways, sometimes.

On a related note--I absolutely love my course and instructors \o/ (Other than them being psychologists with at least masters degree, they're REALLY compassionate and kind [obviously with partial strict tone ]). Going to finish this last semester, and probably get help for issues.

Ah so I was supposed to go to a thing with family, yesterday, but I sorta blew it off...  But this time is very different.
For one thing, I honestly didn't realize I was missing it.
But main thing...  I was hanging out with my friends, in meatspace.

And I'm just not feeling any of the regret I usually would, you know?
It's one thing to say "I need to put my own interests first", when I'm full of anxiety and even self-loathing.
But when I'm having a good time with my friends...  It's actually hard to feel any regret.
Screwing around on modded CK2 with them now...  Learning a lot, having a good time...

Doing something I actually want to do.  Instead of just going with the flow, you know?  I want to say it feels weird, but it actually feels very natural.  Which is different.  Very pleasantly different.

I was supposed to be there yesterday, and today, and tomorrow, and two days after.  But I don't think I want to, and it's not my "hide in a corner" instinct.  It's kinda the opposite!

Edit:  Especially since they aren't here for long...  One is just visiting, the other might be leaving soon (and I regret not hanging out in person with him more).  We get along very well online, but it's still been nice hanging out in person.  Grounding.
