Thing one: Washing Tom Yum soup down with beer seems like a bad idea at first. It is not. It is the best idea. It feels like the food equivalent of taking a hot bath.

Thing two: the vestibule of the metro station near my uni always has the best street musicians. A month ago it was a full-fledged brass band, today it was a guy with a cowboy hat and a... wossname, double-necked Arab mandolin thing. A sitara? He was pretty badass.

Avis, I am not sure about your assessment of Tom Yum and Beer.
I'm running my imagination on all cylinders, and I can't simulate that being good.
