I'm not sure if you guys are talking about cults or burger joints.

Good burger joints tend to cause burger cults. I'm partial to Five Guys, since they're the game in FL, but I do also enjoy Hardees for quick fixes. I miss the Grilled Cheese Bacon Thickburger.

You might be interested in beet sliders, if I had any idea where those are sold. My one friend who goes to culinary school cooks them for us and holy shit, i never thought veggies could be so delicious.
Another not meat option is tofu/veggie patties, I had one once upon a time; it was some kind of teriyaki patty and it was good.

Also, best fries ever, cajun fries from Five Guys when you get'em fresh. I spontaneously combust every time. My friends have to run to the coke freestyle machines and hose me down with cherry vanilla coke.

Those *are* good though.

I know mostly how you feel. I don't eat red meat, so all this talk about burgers and roast beef or whatever is outside my experience

I love Checkers burgers, and the fries were pretty good too.  All we've got around here is Rallys tho', and while it is the same company, it is not the same burger.

A&W's was the only burger joint near our house when I was little. We ate a lot of that stuff.
