It's kinda weird how a little communication from up above can make me feel at ease.  Actually it's almost creepy!  Nah actually, I like it.

Basically there was a big conference call yesterday (the "big day" I've been half-killing myself over for weeks) and... it was vaguely positive, and they didn't fire all of us while laughing maniacally?  Or whatever I expected?
We're still likely going to get let go, but we have a new timetable "By November" and...  I don't know, I actually feel a lot better.  They were very honest about it. 

I worked hard this morning, and maybe if I keep doing so, our team (what's left of us) will stay together.  And if not...  that's alright too.  I was ready for change, I was just desperate for... meaningless reassurance from management ...

You know, the background noise of my mind is "I'm so worthless I deserve to die" repeating over and over ad infinitum never letting me feel good about myself for any extended period of time. Sometimes that's interrupted though, when I thought today "You know, right now life is better than it has ever been ever", and I suppose that was something to feel happy about.
