Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Laughing gas.

Except it also made me feel ambivalent, as I am now significantly poorer.

So I've finally done it, I called my ISP and asked for it to be shut off, on Oct 11. Goin' back to the unwired life.

Thanks, I just get the inescapable feeling that if I allow myself to wallow and indulge in the free, unlimited entertainment that the internet provides, that my brain is always going be dull and craving shallow stimulation, I'll always be the guy that is always losing track of time and never getting anything done, and I'll just wind up wasting my life one click at a time. I'm very anxious, but I don't see a way around it, I can't compromise with this bad habit at all, even the slightest acquiescence will spiral out of control until I've wound up in the same spot I started, so this is the only logical conclusion if I want that prized quality that I've desired for so long but has remained elusive and ephemeral: efficaciousness.

As someone whom a major part of their education, love life, familial relation, and just being able to function in university, rely on the internet, the idea of not being wired is unthinkable. But, different strokes for different folks, I guess.

Since my very job relies on internet connection nowadays, its not something I can do, either, but hey, if it works for you :v

Plus the internet is my main source of information about anything nowadays. I haven't watched TV in years and the only stuff I read apart from internet stuff is books.

I've thought about it, but I genuinely don't have non-internet hobbies. I'd probably, like, become a super-villain in my spare time just to deal with the boredom.

My motivation for doing anything would collapse. Without the poetry prompts thread I'd probably have stopped writing poetry gradually (as was happening before I started it) and without the internet I'd have nowhere to put drawings for critique. I couldn't work on my con lang very well without online resources, and most of my interaction with people not in my immediate friend circle happens online.

I probably couldn't function. Thankfully I think it's been beneficial to my mind's growth, not detrimental.

I have scored rather high on a rather challenging exam today.
