Thing is though, at night, people aren't expecting things from me, my creative mojo is usually at its highest, my bowels are usually pretty calm (UNLIKE MORNINGS), and nobody's around to make me anxious. And no, contrary to what you may think, i don't browse late night lewdness very often at all, which might sound like wasted opportunity to some of you.

Well, what else would you call a 24 hour time period? Night is surely part of that on planet Earth. :v (fun fact: Danish has a completely unambiguous word for a full 24 hour day, English does not)

But it's ambiguous.  "day" means a 24 hour period, or it's ~12 hours that aren't "night".  Depends on context, which is kinda silly.

And thus, is not completely unambiguous. While i won't argue for the superiority of any language, the word "døgn" can be taken by itself or in any context and be interpreted as only one thing.
