Is it? Everywhere I live has french toast as a breakfast menu with topped whipped cream and honey... and absolutely painted with butter (with the occasional butter chunk.)

Beans are a wonder-food and toast is delicious, I really should try combining them.  Later I could have a cucumber sandwich with tea and hard dry biscuits.

We call it "torrijas" here. Here as in my country as opposed to where I am, goes without saying. I sweetened it, of course. Cinnamon, sugar, eggs.

There's a similar dish called "fried milk", which is pretty much the same, only instead of a bread base, you use flour as base. Really delicious, my grandmother used to prepare it.

It's been several years since I set aside a block of time as a proper Vacation. Taking the last week to visit my folks and friends, hike in the rain, play games, try Vietnamese food for the first time, spend time with friendly animals, and generally relax and do a bit of physical and emotional self-care has been really good for me.

Holy shit this is the coolest typing game ever made. They turned typing tests into a bullet hell and it's great. First try made it to Wave 14 with 95% accuracy, and only that low because I fumbled at the end when it started a word when I was trying to clear a letter-burst.

I got to wave 15 with same accuracy, and yeah the letter bursts are great.
