I do disable AdBlock for certain websites. The LP Archive for example has very well-behaved ads that don't even animate, for the most part.

Never on Youtube though. Their ads are some of the worst.

I do a really similar thing. All of the many webcomics that I read and a handful of other commonly used sites are all whitelisted (because a lot of those people/sites really do need that extra couple bucks every month). Beyond that it's generally block everything though. Though sites are getting better at detecting adblockers; I've a few sites I know of now that just either force you to disable your adblock because they don't actually load any of the page data until you clear their check, or a few others that just redirect you within seconds to an alternate site (both of which can be bypassed by simply disabling your adblock and then immediately reenabling it, but can be annoying).

Wow, that's quite relatively a lot. Maybe I should stop skipping them. I hate advertisement, but I'm also pretty good at ignoring them, so I can just think of it as taking a bit of money from a dumb corperation and giving it to people who make stuff I like.

There is also Ghostery, that allows you to pick what you want to block. I have no idea if it's Firefox only or other browsers have it too.
