Also had a happy contacting friends day on Valentines day. Hooray for the love of friendship \o/

And I was heavily sad in the past 4 days due to insensitive assumptions but friends picked me up and plopped me back into being happy. Hooray friends!

Only it didn't turn out to be a helmet as much as a baldcap... But at least I made a bit of headway, now didn't I?

Finally home, after a long, long day, and tucking into some delicious* stroganoff with a side of mash and mixed veg. It's nice.

*Well, okay, the beef came out kinda dry 'cause I messed some stuff up, but it's still good.

Speaking of insensitive assumptions:

I got anonymous flowers.
This makes me wildly uncomfortable.

Turned out to be from my housemate, who wanted to mend some bridges after... basically our personalities happened.
So after I guessed they were from her, she asked me successively over three days whether I'd been acting weirdly towards her the day before, and sent me about twelve messages explaining exactly why they were peace-offering flowers and not romance flowers.
I replied that regardless of the spirit in which they were sent, the fact that she's my roomate, and has a boyfriend, would render any of the more flirtatious possibilities null and void, so why spend time worrying about it?

Apparently this was a bad move.

Computer had been acting up for a good while (temperatures were running abnormally high and such, and computer was slowing down), so I pretty much spent my whole weekend doing a virus scan and such on it.

Funny enough, I also apparently got word on more stuff to do for a client during the time I was fixing my machine. Miraculously enough, I finished my repairs last night, and got to work on the job and submitted my update to it (for the time being) before I could get my day started. It was a successful test of a clean, working computer again.

Not seeing any spikes in temperature (and not hearing my computer over-working itself on the desktop), as well as a much more comfortable average temperature (dusted out the inside before I did any scanning and such), while doing the work and such is nice to see again. Better yet, my computer will still be alive before I make my investment to a new one (soon enough), instead of the alternative. Now it's back to just regular maintainence again.

At least for/until next time, I kept some notes on the repair process, and where the problem areas are/were; if at least to spend hours, and not days, working on it; old or new computer.

I'm not really sure if this counts as being happy, but it makes me significantly less sad so I'm much happier, therefore I guess it makes me happy, but I digress. I've come to terms with my mortality. Really odd thing to post on the happy thread, but oh well.

Also X-Com (Apocalypse, kind of ironic that something with apocalypse in its title is making me happy, but I love irony, so that makes me even happier.)
