So I started playing Undertale.

It's possible that all the endless hype might be justified. Maybe. I give it a 25% chance of living up to the hype.

Only possible?

There's been a LOT of positive press and raving reviews. Game would have to be hand-delivered by the gods themselves to live up to 100% of it
Since I am fairly confident that no deities were involved in the creation of Undertale, I have to remain skeptical.

I'd been intending to rip an obscure fan-work song from Youtube but never got around to it. The channel was taken down. I managed to hunt down an mp3 download of the song and MWB blocked the malware attached to it. Day = Made.

I'm on break, and I'm watching Xena: Warrior Princess again. What's not to love?

EDIT: I got a haircut and had some idle chit-chat with the hair-cutter-lady, does that mean I'm officially an adult? Also, why do sideburns get so much hate? The hair stylist didn't ask if I wanted them cut off, and now I'm getting all sorts of flak from my family about the fact that I have sideburns.

So, those marks I mentioned in the nervous thread? Six distinctions (out of eight), including 88% for the grueling advanced programme maths that people joke about being happy to pass and nineties for maths and information technology.

I miiight be able to notch it up to seven with a re-mark. Really doubt eight would happen, but...

I'm quite pleased.

Oh yeah, I could, I personally don't mind them and was wondering why the public seems to. Except I guess any cosmetic standards set by the general public never really make any sense, I suppose.

Fashion/cosmetic trends are weird, and i can't possibly comprehend why some people care as much about shoe brands as they do. Anyways, can't honestly say if your folks are just being silly or if the sideburns look off on you without a photo, but that'd be a weird thing to ask for. Properly executed sideburns can look pretty rad, but if poorly executed, will probably fall within the same category as fedoras. TIS A GAMBLE, BUT I HAVE FAITH IN THEE!

also the new co-op mode in Starcraft 2 is pretty great and i had forgotten how fun that game actually is so it probably was worth the 60 euros to buy the full trilogy

Finally got around to playing Shadow of Chernobyl with Complete and the damage addon on master difficulty. Already been one-shotted eight or nine times by bandits with fuckin' Makarovs and MP5s and I've barely got to the Garbage. Feelsgoodman.

Seeing as my attempt to WINE-emulate Undertale failed abjectly, I scrapped that plan in favor of viewing a Let's Play for the pacifist run and maybe actually playing the rest of the game when I can get my hands on a Windows machine.

That was beautiful. The story was funny while preserving the drama and was perfectly poignant when it needed to be, the characters were wonderfully memorable (Sans and Papyrus were probably my favorites), and the music was very good; quite fitting, well-written, and often rather catchy. I still don't think it lived up to all the hype, but it was pretty close. I think my only complaints were the occasionally rather subpar graphics and

the whole "true final boss" aspect got seriously overplayed at the end. There were like, what, three? The fourth-wall-breaking went on way too long, too; the first couple times it feels like the new Psycho Mantis or something, a sort of "you can pick your jaw up off the floor now" kind of thing, but eventually it feels like the game's trying a little too hard to be sort of... postmodernist, I suppose?
