Really happy with how well he's settling in. Just a short while after being introduced to his new home he's already eaten, picked a favorite sunbathing spot, pooped twice and had a good look around.

Hit a particularly difficult level on Hotline Miami 2 (seriously fuck those swans) so I decided to take a break and kick back to the soundtrack instead.

Oh almost forgot, I found an old hard drive with almost all my old college code projects!  Lots of cool stuff in here, I was a lot more motivated to hobby-code back then...  Maybe this'll help me get back into it?  Mostly Python and Java.

Also has a pile of old gamemaker and abandonware-dos games I used to love!  Some of these are hard to find, now, so this is really great.  Backing up the data now, since the enclosure already failed...  Had to pull the drive out and attach it directly.  It's quite old.

Took 2 of 3 finals today, did good at both of them. Feeling good. 1 more left tomorrow. Not too bad.

Looks like I survived another college semester.

about to start my exams next week and finishing up my assignments but today in native American history class we had a kind of potlach instead of an exam. we had to make and bring in pre-colombian foods from our regions. then we ate it while watching a movie. smoked salmon, venison, buffalo, and racoon soup of all things, which was actually my group. delicious. harder than i thought to make the stuff in the first place. the first attempt was less than edible. certainly a good class. more about understanding and appreciating an overlooked subject than hard scholarship.

my group members daughter shot it when they were hunting yesterday. i think they were after squirrel mostly at the time. he is an actual Native American and apparently an avid hunter.

Soul Calibur 3 has a character called Yoshimitsu, he has been my favorite character since I was a kid because of his sword pogo attacks. I was just adjusting the default color edits in a new save when I realized that his 2nd edit looks like a cthulhu squid head at first glance.
