Tower of Heaven is a great little retro platformer, where you play a wanderer, trying to ascend the fabled Tower of Heaven. To thwart you, the gods set a series of arbitrary laws into effect, like "THOU SHALT NOT WALK LEFT", which you must adhere to or die. It's got some nice retro graphics, great music, smooth controls, and a fair bit of challenge. It's a bit short, but there's a built-in level editor, and all you need to do to share custom levels is to copy and paste a line of text into the game.

Extremely happy with my Pokemon Crystal lineup, having ditched my starter at the beginning of the game and instead led with a L2 Sentret who has become a crazyawesome tank. The whole team is really versatile, partially via effective TM placement, and I'm overlevelled well past where I ought to be

Through recent experiments, I discovered a new technique for displaying water transparency in pixel art, and I'm adapting it for Stonesense! For the first time in a long time, I feel like I'm actually getting better at digital art again. Just need some more visible water shininess... and then to stop distracting myself, and start cranking out the variant stone tiles I've been putting off with more interesting graphics projects like this.

Hehe... I had a Furret leading my team when I played Silver back in the day too. I ended up dorking it up, and ordering the Japanese version, since it came out a while before the English one.. and though I didn't understand a lick of the dialogue except when I got out the Japanese-English dictionary and tried to slog through a translation... but I beat the game, got the Unknowns, Lugia, and fought Ash, all by trial and error. It was actually a lot of fun, and lended the game an air of mystery.

I'm happy because I somehow managed to achieve some sort of temporal duality in relation to the ending I got to Cave Story. This means that I have a valid excuse to play the game over again to ACTUALLY get the good ending this time. Honestly not sure what I did wrong... Somehow I got an ending somewhere in between the "island crashes killing everyone" ending and the actual good ending. Strange.

I'm also happy because I have a lot more money than I had first estimated. This means that I can buy food. Yay.

Oh, and nice pixel art. You must teach me how to do that.
