I used to keep profiles on people, but then I remembered I'm good with names anyways and writing down commentary on people and their interests is weird and creepy so I just wing it nowadays. Only problem with that is at I occasionally remember two people as a single person.

That's something that actually seems like an interesting idea to me. Like, observe people while getting to know them, then reread your notes to laugh at how hilariously wrong you were at things.
