Tir, are you a psychology professor or somesuch? You seem to be a bottomless well of knowledge on the subject.
...I've good friends in that field ;3
But no. Sadly not a professor. :P
I just love reading and stuff.

Edoot: Woah, checked "my" IP address when viewing the history of that page. Seems like its commonly used. Awesome!

Ill just add that the "Rabbit rabbit" thing is supposed to be good luck. You say it when it becomes the first. But since I tend to practically live online too, both me and olga said it in perosn, and then posted it.

For good luck! Trust in the rabbits that trust in you! Either that or the Adeptus Astares. Both are about equally as powerful implements of the emperor.

True story.
Your rabbits made me happy. >_>
Yay rabbits!

@tir
I might get around to reading that tomorrow. Is bedtime.

@janet
The rabbitness has reminded me of the rabbit cullings of South Idaho, when great plagues of starving jackrabbits bred themselves into existence and swarmed across the landscape back in 1981

(Its a pretty crappy news site, expect demands to sign up)

According to my geology professor who was in the area at the time, lining up across the plain and clubbing them to death in the thousands was actually the natives' method of dealing with the problem, too. When you have too much prey and not enough natural predators, sometimes you have to become one. Apparently westerners are just all barbarians.

(This was all an exaggeration, by the way.)

And this is pretty much the only context where that is a good thing, but I'll avoid further comment in the hippy thread. Happy thread.

I can't help but wonder, did you find all of that overflowing empathy and kindness just wasting away in an abandoned warehouse or something?  :P

Clubbing? That's really inefficient. Here we just get the Department of Conservation to spray poison all over the countryside.

I used to hunt rabbits and hares. I mostly stopped since... Well I learned I didn't have any guns that left anything salvageable.

Fun though.

I have also slept.

It was a hard battle, but at long last I have managed to defeat the worst hangover of my life. I have survived and overcome. I am unstoppable.

And +1 for crossbows, as long as you have a steady aim. Which I assume you do, of course.

Nah, just make an automatic crossbow, forget about steady aim. Or the probable cost of making an automatic crossbow that may or may not actually be reliable.

Also I have once again started applying for jobs so I could actually have a job, soon. And that would allow money.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
