That was an awesome read.

Well, today went well: Work was not as stressful as usual today, I got better bearings for how I should handle getting new work which shouldn't be as intimidating as the method I was previously (and might continue) trying, I managed to get a "spider kill of the week" by rat-tailing it with my towel (harder than it sounds) before beating a storm (that never hit) to go for a swim, and I have another new means of non-bay-12 social contact, courtesy of a co-worker, which according to her description will be a series of Rock Band parties, since she's moving in with some of her friends to a new apartment.

Overall, today was better than usual, especially for a work day. Plus, all things considered, I should have plenty of contacts by now to at least be referred via word-of-mouth. Provided, of course, I get hired to do some work for some of them, or at least have them provide word, or I provide service casually, at least. I'll play that by ear.

The spider collided with the wall and exploded into gore. All accomplished from a full-towel's distance too.
