Watched Andy Dwyer star as Alpha Raptor.  It was completely ridiculous, but fun... partly because my kid's reactions to it were more entertaining than the movie itself.

I forget how it came up, but I had to explain the concept of reincarnation to my kids a couple months ago after they heard the word in conversation.  I was completely blindsided by their reaction to this concept being "OH MY GOD SO IF I DIE I COULD COME BACK AS A [insert cool creature here]?!?!"  I quickly ad lib'd "BUT IT ONLY WORKS IF YOU DIE OF OLD AGE."  It was an epic save, because there were serious groans of disappointment.

Anyway, the relevance is my 6 year old, Grim, rambled on adorably for at least half an hour after the movie about how he wants to be reincarnated as a pterodactyl.

I am so happy that, despite the fact that I have no clue what it is and it's adjacent to the world 'deadly', I will embrace Poi. Hell, I'd embrace just about anything that stood still at this point.

I count anything that can be accurately described by a combination of words including "debacle", but that's more of a hobby of mine. I think I'm up to 563 this year, although I was personally involved with only 3 (Wait Why Are You Shining My Boots I Don't Have Enough Cash To Pay You I Never Agreed To This, Someone Else's Agonizing Thesis Preparation, and FUCK Tea Is Hot Oh There's A Meeting Across The Hall).

A big sub full of horrid people get nuked every year or so. The pedos back in 2011 when CNN drew attention to /r/jailbait, then year-by-year the invasion-of-privacy perverts, the racists, the wife-beaters, and the other invasion-of-privacy perverts with the Fappening all lost their hives of scum and villainy. It's as Putnam says, completely unremarkable and quite welcome.
