Saw Weird Al in Indianapolis on Thursday night, wow, what a great show.

Wow, another B12er in Indiana?  I have not heard of this since... umm... shit, I can't even remember her name :(

Actually I'm in Michigan, but my wife and I came down for the show as a belated birthday present for the both of us.

Yeah, the other one didn't actually live here, either.  She just had family here and posted about visiting a couple times.

Ein... that's the one.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Everyone, let's all move to Indiana.

The influx of people might make it not suck!

I approve!  I don't have enough couches, but I could probably afford enough pillows to make a really big pillow fort.  And then we can burrow and make underground farms, while fending off the sieges of native hoosiers.

I'd be down for a pillow fort.

Happy: I just snagged the perfect seat for my return train ride!
It's on a four-seat bay (as opposed to 5 or 6), it's in a prime window-viewing position, it isn't covered in rubbish and/or questionable stains and to top it all off it's in a near-empty carriage! :D
Now, if you'll excuse me I'm going to equip my headphones+ipod and prepare my eyes to feast on some delicious architecture and tasty graffiti.

In my experience the regional/interstate trains aren't much better. >.>

New Happy: Whoah, that 30-pushup set was weirdly easy. What is going on?!

In Belgium they're pretty ok, but always really late.

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

Yeah, regional trains here are universally late, but the quality isn't /that/ bad.

We have buses, but they're shit.

Near Moscow they're usually on time, but people try to sell you shit while you're commuting. Which is annoying.
