Certain people are vulnerable to things like lotteries because they're either ignorant or desperate. The lottery commission floods both TV and radio with promises of huge payouts and the ones most susceptible to these deluded fantasies are the poorest of the population, who tend to be undereducated and desperate, and see a lottery payout as the only way to strike it rich, and in some cases the only way to get out of poverty in general.

Kung Fury is out. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. (Warning, gets kinda graphic at times)

I can confirm that this is EXACTLY what the 1980's were like. I lost a close friend to a rampaging arcade machine.
Is it wrong that I keep giggling like a schoolgirl as I'm watching this?  :D

EDIT: Dat fight sequence in the Nazi compound. So many memories of playing Kung-Fu Master....I really hope someone does a video game tie-in.

2nd EDIT: My wish has been granted.

Collision is still black magic to me. When I made a platformer the player accidentally got the ability to walljump, which was interesting. They can also cling to ceilings indefinitely if they keep jumping. I guess that if I wasn't lazy that would make a great platformer gimmick.

...Huh. I remember doing the exact same thing when I got bored and started playing around with Gamemaker. This was years ago. I've also got an obscure platformer game seemingly based off of Cardcaptor Sakura hiding on my hard drive somewhere that has the same bug. At least, I think it was a bug. Made some sections of the otherwise moderately difficult game easy.

It's actually a really common error in novice platform games, particularly flash and Gamemaker ones.

Heh, there was this one creepy surreal Gamemaker game where it was intentional.  The main character was poorly drawn and had a super long nose, and could use it to catch ledges and "jump".  Or even clip it into walls by turning, sometimes, and climb that way.

Also, dying left ghostly images of the character.  Which... might have been usable as platforms?  Not sure.

If anyone lives in Melbourne Australia and can give a home to a big stack of late 1990s MtG cards, pm me ;) They're kinda wasted here since I haven't played in years.

Venus=Aphrodite and Jupiter=Zeus I think.
That should explain everything.
