So GalCiv 3 came out yesterday. Anybody had a chance to play it yet? Is it good?

I was playing the early access.  I like it quite a bit.  Back when I played though a lot of stuff was imbalanced (like buying all the other factions's survey ships for chump change the moment you encounter them), custom races were not implemented yet, and Carriers were op as all fuck (I singlehandedly wiped out a higher tech higher number drengen fleet with a single heavy carrier.   Their whole fleet.  Not just one or two individual fleets, EVERY ONE.

The game was fun though, put nearly 20 hours into the game even in the incomplete state.  I'd say if you liked Galciv2 enough to buy it, you'll probably like galciv 3.

@Alcohol.  I know this is probably a very undwarven thing to say but I'm 32 and never purchased any kind of alchohol.  When I was 21 my parents got me a whole pack of 6 glass bottle longnecks.  I don't remember the brand but it was apparently the best stuff you can get around here that is still 'beer'.  It was gotten at an actual liquor store and everything.

Drank maybe a quarter of one bottle and disliked it.  I touched the stuff one more time to be sociable somewhat recently, this was a red's apple ale.  I was hoping it would taste more like apple juice (which I love).   It did not.   The taste of alchohol is just so bad and so overwhelming compared to everything else, I really don't understand how people like it.

No stranger than people liking things that are very spicy or very bitter or whatever.

Took the AP Human Geography exam today. I think I did well, and I get the day off school. Which isn't necessarily a happy but whatever.

I seem to be absolutely unable to distinguish the taste of alcohol. I mean, for me alcohol has no actual taste: it's just a burning/warming sensation that increases depending on the alcohol content of the drink. The drinks themselves taste of grapes/malt/yeast/sugarcane/what have you.
Maybe it's a genetic thing, like how some people can smoke easily and others can't, or like some people are unable to detect some specific smells or whatever?
