Had never heard of this before. Have now checked it out.
I like.

However I don't like the massive disparagement of the Oblivion XP system. I personally really like 'Get better at it as you use it' - style RPGs (Dwarf Fortress, Runescape, etc).
It's my fave system and I really want to find a modern RPG with it.

the way they did it was idiotic

When you level up, you get attribute growth based on skills that you leveled up, so you have to level up specific skills in specific ways every time you want to level up, because otherwise you're up against a shitload of enemies who are most definitely stronger than you due to the level scaling in the game. It's almost completely unplayable without mods and the best way to play it by far is to never go to sleep, since that levels you up (and do any quests that require sleeping first thing).

I woke up to an email inbox just full of good news, and after writing in my diary for three and a half hours this morning (o_O) I'm actually feeling much... much... much better than I can remember ever feeling before. I can still feel a lot of sorrow camping out in my shoulders and hurting me, but there's a lightness I'm experiencing for the first time--a freedom from anger. I feel really good.

Also, I stayed up late watching Orange is the New Black last night. I totally dig it.

now, to get myself out from under this catastrophic sliding shitton of work...
